Now, I used to not really talk about weight loss because I did not want to trigger any feelings of guilt or shame among anyone who may be pressured to lose weight. But the more I am learning through my practice and in my community, the more I am realizing that weight loss is a taboo subject because somehow people feel “weak” or “too personal” or “superficial” even though it is an important goal for them. Well, if it is an important goal, then we should talk about it so that we can raise awareness on the ways that are effective for you. Because there is so much noise out there about what you “ought” to be doing, like doing on a particular diet, working out like crazy, going on a cleanse, and all kinds of quick-fix solutions that are not actually solutions. So in this episode, I chat with Jessica Kishpaugh, who is a lawyer-turned wellness and life coach for busy moms, including mostly attorneys, who have the goal of weight loss and walk away with so much more.
