Victor Velazquez is the Chief Executive Officer of the Maryland State Bar Association. I invited him to join me on this podcast because I just felt like he has been doing an exceptional job leading so many attorneys across the state and leading an organization that made me feel so welcome because, as I say in the podcast, I am barred in DC and joined the Maryland bar as a voluntary member and at first, I thought I would feel out of place but because of the leaders at the MSBA I felt right at home. So today Victor answers the questions of how he prioritizes the health and wellness of lawyers that he serves, his team, and himself so that we, as lawyers, can maximize our fitness to practice. And this is an important conversation for me to put out there because we don’t really talk about the leadership (at least as much as we should) behind every state bar, who really strive to serve us and bring us together.
