I never imagined that learning how to contract would come back to learning how to be fit to practice. In law school, I remember putting my health and wellbeing last and really just focusing on getting everything right. It was such an uplifting conversation with Laura Frederick, who runs her own firm and teaches other lawyers how to contract better, sharing how learning how to contract better is about knowing your priorities, your strengths, and your place so that you are able to best serve your client. Because knowing all the specific language and provisions can only get you so far when you are trying to act in the best interest of your client.
