For a while, and probably still, there is a lot of talk about how starting a family is going to get in the way of your career. And it probably does in some ways, but not as much as we all think it does. We call this a limiting belief: believing that a certain circumstance is in the way of you reaching your goals and being the fullest self. In this episode, I chat with Lisa Goldkuhl, who crushes this limiting belief that being a parent gets in the way. In fact, we talk about all the ways being a parent makes you a better parent and all the ways the naysayers are wrong. If you are a parent feeling bogged down or anticipating starting a family, this episode is especially for you. But even if you are feeling like there are so many things in the way of you growing as an attorney or in your professional life, I think you may resonate with this episode and be reminded of how strong, skilled, and worthy you are to go for whatever it is you desire. I mean it! Let’s get started.
